In 2013 I was contracted to bring this lovely gift to the playa at Burningman. The Wishing Heart was the dream of Nicholas Curran. He is a veteran burner and Ranger who wanted to bring this lovely project as a playa gift. I was lucky enough to get to work with him to build this beautiful work of art. I got to work with a team to create these lovely designs of sacred geometry and build all of the lovely hexagonal forms.
Creating the stencils of the heart and buddha was a blast. Also all of the sacred geometry was with edged in gold leaf paint. We worked very hard to mold the form of the heart that we hung in the center of the project. I had fun using heat to bend and flex the plexiglass around the heart shaped mold. It was an amazing project and an amazing team.
